Profile of Ward 117 Councillor - Tim TruluckI have been a Johannesburg and Parkhurst resident since 19 I came to Joburg from Lusaka where I founded and ran a monthly magazine called the Lusaka Lowdown. I have been working as a researcher for Mutengo Consulting for the past 4 years and have worked on projects as diverse as Volunteerism in the Catholic Church to an Analysis of Child Rights Networks in Sub-Saharan Africa. I have also researched and written the histories of Parkhurst, Linden and Melville; and used to produce the series of Dogwalk booklets from 2002-2006. I love living in Johannesburg, especially in the village-like atmosphere of the parks area. I am involved with the Parkhurst Recreation Centre, Verity Park User Group and Parkhurst Petanque. I am also the leader of the Johannesburg branch of Slow Food and am passionate about local and seasonal foods in and around Johannesburg. |
